Proposition 35: Public Works Projects

Summary: Allows the state government more opportunity to do business with private construction companies.

Libertarian Party of California Executive Committee: YES

Proposition 35, which would ease rules on private contracting, also wins an endorsement from Libertarians. "Public contractors oppose Prop. 35 for fear of losing their jobs. But Prop. 35 will end up creating thousands of jobs -- and save billions in taxes," Hinkle predicted.

Passing this proposition opens up state construction projects to more competition, which will most likely reduce costs. It will allow more companies to work on projects, meaning faster completion.
